Our commitment
Kipper is for everyone who travels with a dog or cat. We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, and we check it against them before every release. In plain terms: every page works with a keyboard alone, every control shows where your focus is, every photo has a written description, text and backgrounds meet the contrast guideline, the page still works at 200% zoom, and the moving shapes stop when your device asks for reduced motion or when you press Pause motion in the footer.
Something hard to use?
Tell us and we will fix it. Email [email protected] and say which page and what got in the way. A real person reads every message.
Service dogs
Service dogs are covered. Under the US Department of Transportation rule, only trained dogs are service animals on flights, and airlines must accept them. Airlines may ask for the DOT Service Animal Air Transportation Form. Borders still require the normal import paperwork for a dog. Emotional support animals are treated as pets.
What we are still working on
The photos on the site will grow to show more of the people and pets who travel: different breeds, senior pets, pets with a limb missing, service-dog teams, and owners with disabilities. The waitlist form runs on Tally, a third-party service; if it gives you trouble, email us and we will add you by hand.
